It has been known for months that Killzone 2 was slated to launch in February 2009, but Guerilla Games and Sony would not confirm a specific date. However, as we near the launch, more and more information is beginning to surface. Just yesterday, the embargo was lifted on the Killzone 2 single player campaign and we got to see a number of new locations in the story. Today, Guerilla finally broke the exact release date: February 27th, 2009.

Make sure to get your pre-orders in as soon as possible! With all the hype surrounding the game, it’s sure to sell out almost immediately. After four years of waiting, it’s hard to believe that we’ve finally arrived at an exact launch date. Let’s hope the wait is worth it.
