Quantum Theory is drawing glances for all the right reasons.  Despite being the first shooter ever crafted by the veteran developer Tecmo, the game features some stunning graphics and an interesting new take on the rapidly tiring Gears of War-style cover system.  Of course, being a PS3 exclusive also has some play in this as well.  But it wasn't always slated as so.  In fact, game creator Keisuke Kikuchi said in a recent interview that the title wasn't even due for the PS3 at all.

"Initially the game concept was built around this game being a PC game. So the team started working on the gameplay portion on the PC," Kikuchi admitted.  "[but] we were pretty confident that we were going to be able to display and execute what we wanted to using the power of the PS3."

Quantum Theory is a third person shooter, developed by Temco.  It's due out in Japan later this year, but no word yet on foreign release.
