Metal Gear Solid 4 was one of 2008's defining titles, winning several Game of the Year awards, including our own. The title was a huge success, critically and commercially. However, everyone was a bit disappointed when it was revealed the title wouldn't be supporting trophies - a practice that was rapidly becoming commonplace in the months leading up to it's summer release.
It seems like Konami is still tossing around the idea of adding trophies to the game, however. Over at the PS Blog, a Konami rep recently said "On the subject of MGS4/MGO trophies and Konami ID - we hear you. We have been circulating these issues internally, and we will report back as soon as we are able."
While the game in itself is enough of a reason to go back for another replay, adding trophies would definitely make it all the sweeter. With the imminent release of the MGO Scene expansion, hopefully Konami will comment on the ordeal further. |
