Criterion Games mentioned that they were looking for an artist to join their team on their Twitter today. The job posting suggests that they are working on a sequel to Burnout Paradise which released early last year on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The posting mentions that Criterion are looking for a World/Environment modeller and that:
"An artist who has experience modelling environments for racing games would be of particular interest to us."
So is this the new Burnout game? Well it is very likely, and it seems that the new game will continue to implement it's unique open world gameplay.
Let's just hope there's a proper crash mode this time!
It was rumored that Criterion were working on a sequel to their highly praised shooter, Black. They could be working on both games; the company is estimated to have under 200 employees, so it is unknown whether the Black 2 rumor was true or false at the moment. |
