Media Molecule working on a "new, ground-breaking, PS3 title"
Posted on June 22, 2009 by Shak

A job listing posted on June 5, 2009, confirms that Media Molecule, developers of the fantastic and unequalled LittleBigPlanet are working on a new PS3 title.

The developers are looking for a gameplay programmer for "ground-breaking, AAA, PS3 title for Sony Computer Entertainment" as part of an expansion of Media Molecule Ltd.

It was thought that the developers were working only on LittleBigPlanet PSP, as the studio is fairly small and employs only a handful of people. This news is good news for PS3 owners, and certain requirements in the listing suggest that this game will be LittleBigPlanet 2.

The listing asks for "experience writing and maintaining physics code" and requires the prospective employee to have "shipped a console game with an online component." This is obviously all speculation, but don't be too shocked when the game announced is LittleBigPlanet 2 (or LittleBigUniverse?)

LittleBIgUniverse i like that much better than just putting a 2 at the end but then where do you go and would that then be considered a new IP or just an add-on to LBP

Agree! This game doesn't need a 2., due to the fact the custom style makes it endless. LBPU is better..
