Heavy Rain has been a flagship exclusive title for Sony since it was announced way back in 2006.  The title was originally set for a 2009 release, but was pushed back around E3 for a 2010 release.  Sony has been very quiet about the game since, but it seems like their moment of silence has come to an end.

The most recent issue of Famitsu Weekly has announced that Heavy Rain will be hitting Japan on February 8, way earlier than anyone expected.  No word of when the Western version will be released, but David Cage has been pimping a simultaneous release for the title over the past couple months. 

With the early 2010 line up already jam packed, I question whether a February release is any better than a fall 2009 release, but as a gamer, I'm excited nonetheless!
