Confirmed: No Porsche For GT5
Posted on January 14, 2010 by Shak

In a recent Consumer Electronics Show interview, Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that Porsche will still not be included in GT5, due to "licensing issues." He also confirmed that "there'll be 950 cars, 20 locations and 70 layouts."

In addition to this, he mentioned that there will be a wide variety of cars available, including hybrids and electronic vehicles. You will now also be able to set up car clubs or racing leagues, although he didn't mention any details.

The track editor, which was rumored a while ago, is still a rumor. Yamauchi refused to deny that it was in the game, and smirked when he said, "at this point, it's just a rumor. So you'll have to see."

Finally, and most importantly, Kazunori Yamauchi states , "GT5 is completely different from GT5 Prologue and GT PSP. It's something completely new. It's really got our soul in it." So we're bound to see the best Gran Turismo yet!
