The environments themselves are well-designed and varied, and take you to places ranging from museums, construction sites, and the streets and rooftops of an Italian city. The variation helps capture some of the feel of the movies, as the locations are painstakingly carved to reflect movie scenes. The original voice talents from both movies are present, and the recorded lines have the same depth and feel as in the movies. This actually helps the game along quite a bit, establishing authenticity and a sense of continuation for those who have watched the movie.
In the end, Quantum of Solace's core gameplay feels like a stealth mod of Call of Duty 4. The players will sometimes have to actively force themselves to remember that they're playing a James Bond video game, rather than some other shooter. But even in the Call of Duty franchise, players get access to some impressive technologies and kits; James Bond doesn't here. For a game about a man notorious for his gadgets and women, there is a noticeable lack in both categories in Quantum of Solace.
The game is a decent shooter, and although it doesn't push the PS3's processing power, it looks great on an HD screen. But players looking for the next big Bond game will be disappointed by the unforgiving combat and unsatisfying campaign. The search for an adequate successor to GoldenEye continues!

Graphics
The game can look great at times, but poor enemy animations, explosions, and the quality of the cut-scenes were disappointing.

Sound
Although the movie talents voice the characters, the in-game sound effects are quite weak, and the only music you'll ever hear is the Bond theme.

Gameplay
Strictly average fare, with a couple of mechanics thrown in to change things up, but the lack of gadgets make this game a generic shooter.

Replay Value
There is almost no incentive to play this game again, and the only saving grace would be the sufficient multi player.

Overall
The game's premise could have led to so much more, but the game remains unimpressive on most fronts. Combat is sufficient, but unrewarding and the narrative is fractured.
