There have been many great games over the long history of the game industry. Many have had groundbreaking technology, while others have had the ultimate connection within their stories to make you love the game. Hell some even brought along both for an entire franchise. While most of these games are getting sequels or something of the likes, you know deep down inside that’s not what you want. Instead you want a remake! With today’s technology and the ever evolving game industry, who wouldn’t? So here are the top ten games PS3Center wants to see remade!
Number 10 Rollcage HD

Wipeout HD is by far one of the best selling games on the PlayStation store and many people love it for all kinds of reasons. Why wouldn’t you? The game is amazing in its own way. However we want to see more from the guys, so bring back Rollcage! The game is similar to Wipeout in a sense that you can drive upside down, on the walls, anywhere. We would love to see a lot more destruction in the environments if they do remake it, but keep it similar to Wipeout HD. The engine of choice is obviously Wipeout's.
Number 9 Silent Bomber

Going against its name of being silent, the game was a vibrant PSX bombing spree. Silent Bomber is based on score attack gameplay. Instead of devastating environments with a gun, you chain link bombs and blow crap up. Being a PSX game, the tech wasn’t that bad at all. We believe the game is best suited for the Geo Mod Engine, the engine behind Red Faction. With this engine the game can be taken to new heights with exploding buildings and debris galore to make it even more fun. Or they could keep it simple and make another PlayStation Store release as well. Check out some gameplay from the original.
Number 8 Vagrant Story

Believe it or not, this action RPG is the only game from Square that has yet to see a remake or sequel of some kind. You can throw this game in the pile of “pushed the PSX to the limits” games as it was one of the few games to do so. It was the first to have in-depth weapon customization and an amazing story with great gameplay. With today’s tech, we would only hope it gets pushed even further.
What makes the game entirely unique is unlike other RPG games, you will not interact with other characters or visit shops. Instead the game revolves around customizing your weapons and a lot of puzzle based scenarios. However the game sales were terrible, which is probably a concern for Square on the remake, but we say give it another chance. It deserves it by a long shot. The engine we would like to see it on would be the Demon Souls Engine. There is good news. According to a Joystiq article, Square is already hinting at a possible remake or sequel, so keep your fingers crossed! |
