The game modes of Call of Duty 4 online are plentiful and have a great variety.  There are your typical deathdatch and team deathmatch modes.  On top of these are more objective-based modes.  These have you during various things such as finding bombs and planting them in your opponents’ bases, trying to conquer certain parts of the maps in a conquest-type mode, and more. 

I really cannot rave about the multi-player of Call of Duty 4 enough.  It truly is the definitive online experience for next-gen consoles as PS3 owners are going to be in for a real treat.  Once you get into a few games and get the hang of what is going on, you will be hooked and keep coming back for more and more, and more. 

The longevity of the game really depends on the multi-player aspect.  The single player mode is great but you can plow through it on the regular difficulty in about six hours.  Crank it up in difficulty though and it may take considerably longer.  The multi-player here has enough depth though to keep the servers absolutely stacked for possibly years, this is one deep online game.  The only complaint which needs to be included in the next Call of Duty is the inclusion of co-op!

This is the shooter to own this year for next-gen consoles and is the best one to date.  The game packs some of the most impressive visuals ever bestowed on any gaming console, an amazing audio experience, and awesome single and multi-player gaming.  Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare expands on everything that is great about the Call of Duty franchise, making it the ultimate must-own first-person-shooter of the year.  Forget Halo, forget Resistance, forget any other shooter, the next-gen shooter to own is Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.
