As with the graphics the sound is also top notch. After cringing from seeing your vehicle just be torn to pieces after a high speed crash visually, your ears will just love the aural experience provided. Metal will crunch and screech when it comes in contact at high speeds with the environment, and you’ll recognize when your cars engine explodes at impact or when your rear right wheel was lost 200 meters back. Each car has its own distinct ignition and engine exhaust notes. Get used to hearing your windshield and windows breaking into a million pieces because that will happen often. If you have a nice surround sound setup then it’ll be music to your ears. If the sound of a crash flipping ten times after causing a huge pileup at an intersection is your thing. Again as with previous Burnouts the sound production is just top notch. Make sure to hook your surround sound system to, the game has a great Dolby Digital sound track.

Conclusion
I have very few issues with Burnout Paradise. It’s a fantastic game with even better multiplayer. But I find myself at time sometimes saying “That’s it?” There are a lot of things to do but you’re essentially doing the same things over. The huge city to explore is great and the ability to approach the game any way you like is just as impressive. But it just feels like there is something missing. I’m not sure what it is but Burnout games have always had a crash mode at the very least.
| 9.0 | Graphics Super detailed vehicles and environments all at a blazing 60 FPS. |
| 9.0 | Sound Sounds as great as it looks! Crashes always sound better when the volume is turned up. |
| 8.0 | Gameplay Several event types, tons to explore and great fast paced gameplay signature to the series. There isn’t as much to do as you think it just seems like something is missing though. |
| 8.0 | Replay Value An absolutely huge city to explore and a lot of stuff to do online. Events can get a bit repetitive after a while. We’ll see what the DLC has to offer. |
| 8.6 | Overall Okay single player and fantastic multiplayer. Superb visuals and sound but EA please BRING BACK CRASH MODE! |
