I've tried with both .mov and .avi formats and I was wondering if anyone else had managed to play a video (on an SD card) on the Wii? or is it just me?

yeah i have although i can't get .avi files working on it, i just use wii video 9 it encodes any video type into "wii playable" format

Yeah, I've tried that but it didn't seem to work either.

ive been able to but sometimes when the format doesn't work i use windows movie maker to change the format then it works.

This seems oh so complicated, the downfal of a DVD Drive? just whack it on to A DVD and away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well wii video 9 seems to work, the files are a little hard to find, but it really doesn't matter.

not me, because have no wii but did not even know you could
