BIG Warhawk News: Multiplayer Only!

Their video preview shows some pretty nice looking gameplay, and the team describes why they switched to an MP only game. I'm not really opposed to this if it is a downloadable game. I'd rather pay, say, 20 or 30 bucks for the core game, and then add more maps and weapons as they are released.

I think this is good news. Warhawk looks interesting, but it doesn't look to me like it warrants a $60 purchase. The more Sony can drive large scale content like Warhawk or Tekken: Dark Resurrection through the online store, the more Sony can leverage its strength to attract more users to the console.

Digital distribution via the Playstation Store will help keep distribution and marketing costs lower, allowing smaller games to develop and thrive on the PS3. Not every title is gargantuan like Motorstorm and Metal Gear Solid 4, but it's good there's still a way for them to exist on PS3. Warhawk may turn out to be more successful by being a download-only game.

I don't think it will be a download game, but will be cheaper because it's only online.

heh. This will be a blast, I never played the original, but everything looks sweet. From some of the vids I've seen, it could take a minute to get used to switching controls between walking, jeep & warhawk. But looks awesome!

i wouldn't even want to walk, if the jeep controls are good, i'll use it lots, but mainly Warhawks will be my weapon!

warhawks are cool but there are only 2 types or planes on the beta they booth are cool but the anti aircraft guns blow when ur flyin and the jeep controls are good so are the foot and warboat ones!
