PS3 Firmware v. 2.00 Update Announced!

This is why I got a ps3. Sony keeps making improvements, and finally I can really customize XMB with wallpaper. This is great news!!!

For those of you who love 360 feature of ripping music to your video game soundtrack, sony could be heading in that same direction with all these upgrades. I would be happy with just being able to play music from your ps3 while actually playing a game at the same time. The 2.0 article did say you would be able to access xmb while playing a game so it might be sooner than you think.

No that isnt possible...yet
Wait for a few more updates, it will come before 3.0 though.

sony being able to update firmware could give 360 a run for its money because they dont have updates do they? i know wii does, but does 360?

it think it dose to play xbox games but it think to play one xbox game you need one update and another update that replaces the other one to play a diffrent game

there's an update every year or so, the last one killed 360's

the 2.0 update was false the source that cam eout with it is usually accurate but some1 hacked her account and wrote that it is all false but hopefully sony seen it and r tryin to meet expectations and make some of them true

FYI, the F/W has already been released! its 1.8, and has no new features!

actually the only good thing that i use from the 1.8 update is the ps3 smoother and hd upconverter it keeps me playin midnight club 3 remix

oh yeah, but you need an HD Tv to use that...
