If Sony do buy Rockstar there is no chance GTAIV will become an exclusive. If Sony buy out Rockstar it will be after Grand Theft Auto has been released, and it wouldn't suprise me if there are some terms of purchase for Sony buying rockstar, one being that GTAIV will not be an exclusive;
Rockstar have put far too much money and man hours into making GTAIV (two seperate development teams for GTAIV for the two consoles) for it to become an exclusive on one console.
Even if there aren't any terms do you really think Sony wil want to miss out on all that extra cash they would generate from a game that has already been completed? Afterall the only reason they'd want an exclusive is so they'd get the money.
I have no idea where you got this information from PSN, and I dont think you do either "According to sources..." I never thought this site posted so many rumours until recentley, are you even generating the rumours now too?
Either way, however much money Sony puts up to buy Rockstar, Microsoft could easily double. So I doubt it's going up for sale.

Ok this "rumour" is from the Sony/Activision held event called Tengu somewhere in America,I forget where.
GTAIV wont become exclusive due to the terms and conditions MS and TakeTwo(owner of R*) set when GTAIV was announced for X360,shame i know but it would be the last GTA on any console except a PS.
R* has comented saying"We are following procedure and dont comment on rumours",is this saying yes its true but we dont want to comment yet or are they actually saying no this isnt true.
MS wouldnt buy R* because yes they have a big balance but would they really put more debt on the MSGamingStudios which is at about $6billion now and R* might say no to MS and yes to Sony.
Smart move by Sony if they do.I am sure they have thought about it before and would do eventually.

What's to stop MS just buying the majority share?

nothing, they have the money, and they know how to use it.
I don't think it's going to hapin'. sony would have to pay billions, billions with a B, and are they willing to pay that much money for R*, would it be worth it to sony in the long run? M$ payed $50 million for TWO pieces of exclusive content,how much will they what for the whole company?

Good point $50million just for DLC is alot and i think it is near $1billion atleast for R*.I think it would be worth it for Sony just due to the pulling GTA as it practically made the PS2 when GTAIII came out it sold threw the roof and GTA:VC and GTA:SA sold just as good so having GTAV PS3 exclusive would pull alot of casual gamers and GTAfans to the PS3 and then you have L.A Noire(already exclusive) and the new I.P which is also exclusive and L.A Noire is slated for next year and the new I.P for 09 so if these games are anything like GTA it will attract alot of GTAfans back to PS from X360 and might even get a few casuals which is what GTA now gets aswell as fans of the series.

Well their gaming division is $7billion(about) in debt and never turned a profit and people actually think they would sink another $1-2billion for R*, really i know this is MS and they have alot of money but their not stupid i hope they know when to stop spending.

They'll figure something out, i'm sure. Wouldn't be surprised if M$ tried spending $1-2 billion to get R*, but that will probably not be enough. R* has two big companys after them, there going to milk this for all it's worth. The $50mil for the DLC was just an ice breaker.
