According to the GT channel, Sony may be getting ready to launch the demo of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the Sony PlayStation 3

Why should people care about GT5 Prologue? I want the real game not a prologue.

But I would hate to find out that prologue is slowing down the development of the real game.

But it doesnt, they have seperate Teams, 1 that makes GT5, 1 that took some GT5 parts and made GT5P

Nope, I downloaded it Friday and I'm in Canada. Its super easy to make a Japanese PSN account. I'll have my preview up tomorrow and we'll show you how. Here's some captures, sorry but my Camera sucks.

All of this is running at 1080p 60fps on my Samsung LN5265f 1080p lcd and oh playing it with the Logitech g25 is heaven on earth!!!

Yep, it's a great demo, and it's got me geared up for the full release. Just as the PCN impressions article stated, there's still a little bit of antialiasing issues and shimmering that needs to be sorted out. It's not much at all, but if it gets fixed before release the images will be darn near photorealistic.

Are any of the online components enabled for the demo? I mean the driving bits - I've downloaded some of the GT TV segments, and they're pretty cool.

It's definitely worth opening a Japanese PS3 account to get this game. The demo will help tide things over until the full release appears.
