modem problem on a 60g please help

i recently had one of the worst lighting storm to memory in my area and since then my modem wont respond. the light in the back is stuck on yellow.. ive tried a ethernet cable ,which was my old method, and now i got wireless, linksys router, and it wont respond either way.. i went as far and reformatting the whole thing, everything is gone, bone stock so its like u just took it out of the box.. its a 60g so please help.... also my controller takes longer to sync up and sometimes wont without the power cable attached...... please help

try resetting the modem, if not you need to call the cable company. something (modem or router) was fried. also, please use a surge protector for times like this. and NEVER use your ps3 during a lightning storm.

as per the controller, the battery is just getting to the end of its life. grab a sixaxis on sale on amazon.com or just get a dualshock 3 (it is SO much better).
