My hard drive corrupted

My hard drive corrupted and i just bought a new 80gb sata HDD for it. When i installed it, it is now saying "Hard Drive not recognized." What do i have to do? Everywhere i read about the HDD upgrade, they made it sound easy, and that a "formatting" screen popped up. Not for me

Try placing your old HD back in the system and see if it boots.

If you are still getting this error then can Sony support. They will ship you a box for you to ship your playstation in and they will your hd problem.

you might have the wrong type of hard drive or it just isnt placed in the slot properly. try taking it out and reinstering it into the slot. also,

your hard drive must be a SATA 150 2.5" laptop hard drive.
