I just wanted to let you all know that PS3Center.net just got bumped up to the #9 spot on Google for the "PS3" search term!

That is good news. One of the "top" sites is one of the worst sites I have ever been to. You actually get an infraction for less than a 5 word minimum reply. They ban people and give them infractions for almost anything. Nice to see this site moving on up. Just like The Jeffersons. Maybe some younger people won't get that :(

yea this is a great site and its good to see it moving up but how does google do its rankings like that?

It's based on traffic, coding of the site, age of the site and search engine optimization (methods used to get higher rankings)

Well unfortunately I guess that only applies to the United States or whatever Google.com applies to because Google Canada results but PS3Center on the 4th page of results. Darn you Google, why must you try to "localize" results to a specific region.

Well obviously something has happened, PS3Center has jumped to the 3rd page in Canadian results (http://www.google.ca/search?q=PS3&hl=en&start=20&sa=N) under the search term: PS3, I also looked under the term PlayStation 3 but was unable to find PS3 Center within the first 10 pages, but under that term you were getting things like NVIDIA's page on the PS3 graphics processor specs.

It has unfortunately slipped, google now has those arrows near a webpage you think
is a good answer to your search query, allowing you to bump it up for the benefit of others,
any idea what page it's on in the states? Ill chip in with a bump

I had been going to edit my last post as I looked at the Canadian results about a day later and it had dropped again but I'm not allowed in this thread, my search (http://www.google.com/#q=PS3&hl=en&start=190&sa=N&fp=F2LdvTVQwLA) on Google.com (at the time of this post) though showed the first PS3Center.net results on the 20th page of results and Google.ca results (http://www.google.ca/search?q=PS3&hl=en&start=130&sa=N) put PS3Center on the 14th page (at the time of this post) and it's not even the main page, it's the page of a story on the website.

Good news, my latest Google Canada search (http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&q=ps3&start=30&sa=N&fp=2b7ac32510b296da) has put PS3Center.net in the 4th page of results with the search term: PS3 although under the search term: PlayStation 3 I couldn't find PS3Center.net within the first 10 pages.

In the U.S, PS3Center.net is reaching the 3rd page of results (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=ps3&start=20&sa=N&fp=252c6d681565ba35) under the term PS3 and the U.K under PS3, PS3Center.net is getting into the 6th page of results (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=ps3&start=50&sa=N).
