new to ps3 help

hi guys,

i just got my ps3 the other day. i was wondering if we could play movies from external hard drives? if its an AVI file?

whats a clan and how do i join one.

It seems that those are the supported file types... hope this helps!

You can play .avi's , fairly certain, I load em onto SD cards and pop them in the sd reader and its never a problem

if you do have a video in another format (ex. .mkv) there are some software out there that you can use to convert it into a media type that the ps3 will be able to read.

Clans are groups set up to compete with other clans in matches called Clan Wars. I used to be in a Mario Kart Wii Clan called Shadow Gear.

Maybe we should set up a clan for Resistance or Killzone. :)
