By CRT monitor, I assume you mean an old style computer monitor in which case you would need something like this (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3322945&CatId=1430) which takes any video source, including your own TV signal and makes it available for your monitor to use since CRT monitors at most only have VGA output which is what this converter box uses.
On a separate note, if you were ever looking into new monitors, this one (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9278569&type=product&id=1218073534138) would fit your situation as it has HDMI input, DVI and VGA so your could directly hook up your PlayStation 3 to the monitor, no converter box necessary and any computer as all computers at least have a VGA connection and you could switch between them whenever you wanted.
