Region error hell

hey folks, been hunting forever regarding info 2 change my dvd region restriction, so i can play (region 1) U.S movies.
I cant handle movies on a non-upscaling player, they look like arse.
Please end my suffering.

Since you haven't provided the model of DVD player, I can only direct you to a website that has unlock procedures for plenty of DVD player models as the procedure to unlock the region code on DVD players is not universal across all DVD players, it's far from that. Thanks alot 4 the reply, i guess i should have been more specific though. The player in question is my ps3. There dosent seem to be anything in system settings to change the region. I thought perhaps there might be a patch i could download or something. Regardless I appreciate the advice.

if you have a pal ps3 then there is no way to play locked region discs outside you region. to do that you need to hack your ps3 which is 1. impossible and 2. voids your warrenty
