Yes, after two years of waiting and releasing alongside the game sequel for PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360, Wii owners will finally be able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. As detailed by GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6214795.html) the port is being done by Treyarch, no rating is available from the ESRB or any details on what you will be able to do compared to the versions of the game, but I'm sure somewhere some Wii owner is going to be jumping up and down, meanwhile we will enjoy the sequel.

lmaoo, crappy port of an old game, wii owners should avoid this, if you want modern warfare, buy a ps3 or 360 and get the "real" version.

or u could get MW 2 if u wanna spend the money, but getting a PS3 or a 360 works as well

It will be online, full details in this Kotaku article (http://kotaku.com/5342715/modern-warfare-wii-gets-coop-with-a-catch) but to put it simply they have to limit the game to just 10 players online per game.

yeah it is kinda dumb since they are finally put MW on the Wii when MW2 is coming out soon, they should have put it on earlier but I still doubt that your average Wii owner would probably not care about a shooter game like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare anyways, although I could be wrong, there could be some people with a Wii who would buy Modern Warfare, but to me it seems kinda pointless now that we're getting Modern Warfare 2

If theres a market for it and it's a great game then why not sell it? It makes sense for business reasons as well as gaming reasons.

but the thing is: is there a market for it on the Nintendo Wii? aren't most owners of the Wii into casual games?
I could be wrong though
