Here is some screen shots. This is my favorite game on playstation.......

28-03-2006, 03:14 PM
I loved the first bunch but didn't like the idea of the removal of the platforminess, just makes it silly (loves me some quackinator)

28-03-2006, 03:48 PM
Yepthe 3rd one wasnt as good. Hope they go back to gameplay like 1 and 2.

29-03-2006, 06:17 PM
ive never played the ratchet and clank series, is it any good?

29-03-2006, 08:57 PM
Well it is probaly my favorite for playstation.

29-03-2006, 08:59 PM
oh then maybe ill go pick it up tommorow and check it out myself

14-05-2006, 06:40 PM
now this game will be sweet. hopfully they get some nex-gen weapons. :D

02-01-2007, 09:10 AM
i suppose they could have more space ship bits, and they could be motion sensing, but hopefully motion sensing doesn't get in the way of the gamplay its self.

24-03-2007, 03:06 PM
i never played the previous ones..are they any good? they seem okay on videos of it...

24-03-2007, 04:08 PM
Yeah, 1 and 2 are great, never got round to 3, getting size matters on PSP, unless on PSP you play as clank, and on PS3 you play as ratchet, and you could connect, then i'd get both!

26-03-2007, 06:04 PM
then i might need to atleast rent them

26-03-2007, 07:28 PM
Wasn't there already a ratchet and clank 4? Racthet: Gladiator wasn't it? (although not really a ratchet and clank game)

26-03-2007, 09:21 PM
i do not know about that, if there was a 4th

26-03-2007, 11:01 PM
i liked the 1st one i hope the series goes back to being a traditional platformer more to an extent. jak and daxter is still my favorite.

26-03-2007, 11:12 PM
i forgot of jax and daxter that game was fun....i forgot which one it was though, it was a rent

26-03-2007, 11:44 PM
the 1st jak and daxter was awesome i remember laughin my ass off at the voice work in the game. reminded me of a great disney flick

27-03-2007, 12:16 AM
yeah it was funny lol

27-03-2007, 11:01 AM
i still think R&C are better than J&D

27-03-2007, 03:30 PM
I like them both but I think I played Jak and Daxter a bit more.

27-03-2007, 05:57 PM
i only played J&D havnt played R&C and i only played one of the j and d games. is the games made by the same developing company? because they kind of both seem similiar in a way?

28-03-2007, 05:58 PM
They do seem similar but I'm pretty sure they are made by different comanies, Jak and Daxter is Naught Dog and Ratchet and Clank is, insomniac I believe, I could be wrong on that one though?

28-03-2007, 06:15 PM
oh yeah ratchet and clank is made by insomnaic i do know that for sure....jak ad daxter yeah i think they are made by naughty dog becuase looks like there style of game.......thx for info

29-03-2007, 12:46 PM
yeah the manufacturer's are right, insomniac for R&C, Naughty Dog for J&D, but they work closely, both games had a tendency of coming out on the same day, same version in the series, both had comedy side's, neither was more serious, but they captured different markets.

29-03-2007, 05:48 PM
yeah i noticed the comedy sides

31-03-2007, 11:58 AM
They both should look sweet on NEXT GEN HARDWARE!!!!!

31-03-2007, 03:17 PM
are they even coming to next gen? it be a shame if it did not though

01-04-2007, 08:19 AM
R&C is, dunno about Jak

01-04-2007, 01:32 PM
well i thought r&c was...but never heard about jax

09-04-2007, 02:40 AM
Jax is on the back burner, they have a new franchise they wanna launch with ps3

09-04-2007, 08:41 AM
R&C hasn't been made by Insomniac this time, it was a co-developer. insomniac too busy with RFOM.

12-04-2007, 08:50 PM
I still need to check out some R&C games for ps2, but all I hear are good things, so sounds like a safe bet!

Woah! I just got a copy of the demo disk for Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and it is absolutely AMAZING! The demo disk contains the entire first level of the game, and it was given to people who pre-ordered the game. I bought mine of Ebay for $5 shipped.

It is easily the best looking game on PS3 right now. Insomniac Games did all of the development work on this one, and it shows. They're using the proprietary game engine the developed for Resistance, and it looks and plays like a freakin' Pixar animated film.

I'm not sure when the demo will hit the Playstation Store, but when it does give it a try. I've been playing it all weekend, and I'm still floored by it. I didn't really pay attention to this game before, but now I know it's a must have game for the PS3.

yeh i play jax&dexter more, but rachet and clank was my first game

09-10-2007, 05:49 PM
Your first first game?

10-10-2007, 12:40 PM
Didnt really like J&D that much but R&C was my favorite game that was like that, i.e. Croc,Spyro,Jak&Daxter etc etc.

13-10-2007, 05:05 AM
What did you guys think of the demo? I just downloaded it and played it. Pretty awesome a little short but definitely peaked my interest in the game.

13-10-2007, 07:01 AM
Haven't played it.

Don't have PSN

15-10-2007, 02:42 AM
i dont like those kinda games. i only like games like extreme sports, first person shooters. and racing games. thats it.

17-10-2007, 02:11 AM
this is from the thread on vgevo

ok, i think i should start by saying this is my second r&c demo (first was psp game size matters) and i have never played a ratchet and clank game at all.

some major issues:

1. the camera: it is too far away (object block me from seeing character), and it is always too low (creating cinematic feel, but i want it at shoulders like normal)

2. the backgrounds: there is a lot going on. sometimes i get lost in watching it, and i get hit for it by the enemies.

3. controls: there are 2 buttons to shoot (o and r1) there should only be one. r2 should be mapped to the gun selection, and hopefully i will be able to change it in the retail release.

now, before you get all irked let me just say that i enjoyed the game, and quite frankly i enjoy the series. the game is far from perfect, i always like to point that out, but it is better then many other things i have played on the ps3. (like the nhl games)

there ya go, enjoy.
