New SOCOM DLC

Announced yesterday by the PlayStation Blog (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2009/10/cold-front-downloadable-pack-for-socom-u-s-navy-seals-confrontation/), SOCOM: Confrontation is receiving a new DLC pack. This DLC pack though is not the free DLC promised though, it will cost you $10 in the first 24 hours, $15 after that and includes among other things 5 new maps, 3 new weapons, snow setting, thermal vision, new trophies and some more. Taking a look around the SOCOM forums as well seems people will be buying it, although many still aren't happy about the price and the fact no date has been announced for it's release, considering the history the game has been through.

I'm getting the feeling the "free" DLC comes out after this DLC, you know after this DLC releases 6 months from now, most likely pushed out by an update that once again breaks the game. I mean I have respect for SOCOM, heck I own every single game released to date except Confrontation but this game just took SOCOM, stomped on it, shot it's legs off and then while it was crawling for it's life with they finally take it to a back room and have their way with it.

Threw it in a toilet, flushed it, found it in a sewer, gave it to an old hobo on the street to chew on...Lol sorry couldnt resist. They did ruin Socom. Socom was and can still be one of the greatest franchises ive ever owned. Much like you I own every single one, including Confrontation. To be honest I had slim hopes for it anyways the minute they said it was online only.
