Well I know some of us are PC users and inevitably you have to run anti-virus software, now in the past you might have just run out to the store and bought something like Norton (although I have my doubts about anyone here actually using Norton software) or going out and getting AVG Free, Avira or Avast but now Microsoft has a solution for you. Microsoft Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/), personally I love this tool, it's free (as long as you have genuine Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7), is full 64 bit compatible, it's light on it's feet, I'm currently running a full scan and compared to AVG Free, Security Essentials appears as if it's not even there where AVG Free was noticeable during scanning or even just at idle and it updates itself up to 3 times a day using the Windows Update engine. It's also done fairly well in reviews, comparing to free products and even some products you have to pay for.

Now if you have a product you've paid for, stick with it till it expires, might as well take advantage of what you paid for, but if you are currently using a free solution such as AVG, Avira or Avast, I would suggest at least giving Security Essentials a try, I know I'm not going back to AVG after this.

Yeah I installed this on a few laptops recently, uses very little memory and CPU so it is ideal for older computers. It also is quite hassle-free, because it is anti-spyware and antivirus so you can install it on computers for people who have no idea how to use computers, and they should be relatively safe online.
