gamesave/username help

PLEASE HELP!! My ps3 wasn't recognizing discs at all(blu ray or regs or games) so I re-formatted it using the utility on it. Before doing so I backed up my game save data to a usb stick using the ps3 gamesave utility. Now, when I try to load the new data the games tells me that the gamesave data was created by another user. My user name was just my first name. I'm not positive about whether it was lower case or upper or a combination but I've tried every combo I can think of and still can't seem to get the game to let me use my gamesave data.

thats weird, just try what Trediddy said and contact Sony, thats really all I can think of

Is the user account your trying to use the gamesaves on using the exact same PlayStation Network Account as before you did the backup, in other words when you did the format, instead of signing up for a new account you are using your existing account because other than that, the only other logical explanation is the game you're trying to restore has locked data that can't be restored, in other words a simple reformat screws you over.
