PSN Game Sharing: Can I share a game with 5 *other* people (excluding me) ?
Hi guys. I have this question about PSN game sharing. Quite simple really. As you may know, most PSN Games and addons can be shared between upto 5 people. Now my question is this: Normally, what happens is that a person sharing the game normally is one of the five people sharing the game. That is, he takes up one of the five available slots himself, and shares the 4 remaining slots with other people.

Suppose I want to share a PSN game with five *other* people. That is, I buy a game, but do NOT download it on my own system. Instead, I share it with 5 *other* people. This way, I wont be one of the five people actually sharing/playing this game ..

Is this possible? Or can I still only share it with four *other* people ?

The only way I can think of you being able to do this is if you purchase the game on your account from one of the 5 people you want to game share with their PlayStation 3, not your own as otherwise I imagine it will associate one download automatically with your PlayStation 3. I don't know for sure though if that's the case but it's the only scenario that gives you any chance of being able to do this.

i am not sure cuz i think that when you buy the game it automatically downloads it to your PS3. but to share with other people you have to share your account with people and stuff but i am assuming that you are doing this to give it to like 5 of your friends. i would think that you would be able to do it fi it doesnt automatically download the game

If you bought it and didnt share yet, it auto activates your acount. If that happens just go into account settings and deactivate the system from games. Doing so will deactivate the account and free up the slot, but at the same time you wont be able to download the game and play it anymore, along with ALL the other games you downloaded.

However say its de activated and is activated on 5 other systems already. You can still buy it and i think download it but wont be able to actually play it unless another console deactivates and free up the space. So youd basically be wasting money.
