Rumor: Xbox 360 slim?
as we all know, last summer, Sony released the PS3 slim.
according to Gamespot, Microsoft could be following Sony's lead.
I think it's probably a hoax, after all, they have had a pretty hard time with overheating and what not when the 360 was released as its current size, so imagine if they shrink the size to the size of a slim PS3.

discuss your thoughts about if u think that this could be possible and if a slim 360 will actually work

Itll likely happen, refresh the product before natal, the slim ps3 sold about a million units in a month, I doubt Microsoft didnt notice that.

People analyzing the board are believing that the space reduction wont be drastic though, a inch off height, and half an inch in depth.

yeah true, and the fact anything microsoft release isn't copying anything lol

where as the ps3 is getting a hard time for being like the wiimote,

people have said it may release(if its true) for $149 :/ which i doubt unless it has no HDD, meh i hope they all start to RROD anyway lol

I think the idea behind going to a slim form factor is that with a new form factor, smaller die size processor/GPU and re-engineering to accommodate a smaller case, heat will be much better dissipated from the console, helping to stop the RROD. It's what Sony did with the PlayStation 3 Slim, I mean in the Slim's case they didn't need venting all around the case and some big fans on the back unlike the original models to keep the system cool, same idea applies here. Plus as many have speculated, the re-engineering also presents them the opportunity to integrate Natal right into the console (hey, it's Microsoft, they did it with HDMI and they will do it again to get you to buy a new console).
