So before you're asking about selling your PlayStation 3 and now you want a hard drive for it, if you think upgrading the PS3 hard drive will help in selling it, it's not because anyone can do the upgrade for less than $100 by buying a standard 2.5 inch SATA laptop hard drive (you don't need a "special" PS3 hard drive, unlike the XBOX 360) and then they can choose the size they want, since some people will want more space, some won't need so much.

Best Buy, Futureshop and pretty much anywhere that sells computer parts will have 2.5 inch SATA hard drives available, as an example I will use the American Best Buy website. You can get a 2.5 inch SATA 250GB Western Digital hard drive for $59.99 from Best Buy and if you're willing to go online for shopping, Newegg can sell you a 640GB hard drive for less than $110. For one example that's local, Amazon.co.uk will sell you a 2.5 inch 320GB SATA Hard drive for ?39.99 with free shipping within the UK.

A 60GB hard drive would be a waste of time, to quote a previous thread:

It would only be a 20GB upgrade and it's a used hard drive which could be damaged during shipping over the ocean since he lives in Europe, plus the shipping wouldn't be cheap either and there could be import fees.
