Oh it's amazing and I've never even been a fan of those kinds of games. I'll buy it for sure.

The demo is awesome but if you didin't catch last Thursday's Gametrailers episode which was pretty much devoted to GOW III. I highly recommend you going to the website and viewing the new videos of gamplay. Also there is no CG in the game all cutscenes are done with the game engine. The game has been enhanced even further since the demo. This game will surpass Uncahrted 2 in terms of graphics and magnitude. You will actually see Kratos' muscles strain and the Titans are ginormous in terms of scale.

Also I recommend picking up the GOW colleciton. You get 2 PS2 games for $29.99 redone in 720p (please be aware that the cutscenes appear to be in 480i still) with full blown trophy support.

yeah the demo is AWESOME but what is more amazing is the stuff that i have been reading from the devs about how the demo build is from over a year ago and the game now looks ALOT better because of enhancements to the engine that they are using. Another that i liked inthe demo was the lighting, i dont know if any one noticed but how the orbs and the blades and it seems like everything casts lights now seemed to add a bit more to the game

I also recommend watching the game trailers spot on GOW III it was awesome and really showed you what the game will look like

Yeah that GTTV footage is fantastic, although there are a few minor spoilers (nothing story related though).

Definitely get the demo now, it may be rather old and the game when it releases will look even better but even that build looks amazing. I've only played it twice since getting it but it's always amazing/jaw dropping to look at. Even showing it to my roommate who's a 360 fan got him impressed (although he owns a PS3, but only 2 games for it).

It's been a pre-order for me and thanks to a credit from a previous purchase on Amazon, I'm getting it for $49.99, although for anyone who wants it in Canada, both Best Buy and Futureshop are offering it for $54.99 on pre-order if you buy it online, if you pre-order in store you get a $5 gift card.

Also must agree with glen, the God of War Collection is a great choice as well, you get 2 games, both with separate sets of trophies so you can get two platinum trophies from one purchase and while they will never match the graphics of God of War 3, both games still look pretty darn good with enhanced graphics. All for $29.99, I actually have had the collection since Christmas, but I have yet to finish either God of War 1 or 2 (I never played either on the PS2).
Some say he has a long signature and long posts, all we know is he's called X_Racer1.

here are my impressions.... I played it as part of the beta months earlier. Haven't played the current demo...

Kratos has arrived for the PS3, and he looks meaner than ever. The very look of him commands respect, and a certain sense of fear. So when you gain control of him in the game, you cannot help but feeling a certain sense of pride, and a devilish look comes over your face.

Yes sir, the game is big. Bigger by a large extent compared to GoW 2, and more gorier than ever! Take control of Kratos, and you can feel the adrenaline rising, and the magnitude of things to come.

GoW III is slated to come out around March 2010, and the demo I played was a early beta version. It starts off with you gaining control, and immediately having to take down skeleton soldiers. Four or five of them crowd upon you, and you take them down with no effort at all. There are two kinds of attacks, the light attack using the Square button and the heavy one using the Triangle button. There are some variations by holding the L1 button along with the ones mentioned above. The demo looks amazing, with a certain gloomy fiery background taking up most of the game. The graphics are amazing, with the game keeping a solid frame rate throughout the demo, even when there is a lot of activity on the screen.

Kratos has got some new moves this time. You can grab enemies and use them as shields, pound enemies into walls, you a Cyclops as your weapon and what not. He is more powerful than ever, and then more.
There is a boss fight with a half human half horse guy, and you have to fight long and hard to defeat him. And now the surprise! Kratos actually tore out his guts! Yes, the gore has really been upped a level in this game. Every single fight sees blood, and lots of it splashing all over the place, and with heads and guts flying, this game is definitely, definitely adult rated and I recommend parents to keep a watch on what their kids are playing.

Another major sense of gore? Kratos actually uses Helios? head basically as a torchlight. Anytime you are in darkness, you can take out his head using a button combo to illuminate your path, and any enemies in the vicinity.
I haven?t dwelled into most of the story here for fear of ruining the experience for everyone else.

The sound is absolutely amazing, and worth listening to in a home theater system. The background score fits the game, and is as large and as commanding as Kratos himself.

There is still scope for improvement though, considering this is a beta. Camera angles where fidgety sometimes, and a slight drop in frame rate during the fight with Helios. All in all, a great beta, and it shot up my expectations for the game.

P.S. The game is amazing, I would definitely buy it if it was not for the gore. I am sure there is an option to turn off the gore, and if it is there, I would definitely go for it.
