Say Goodbye to Online for Some XBOX Classics
Yes after just 8 years of first being introduced to the original XBOX, Live service is being discontinued for all original XBOX games and XBOX 1 consoles, even if you play them on the XBOX 360. The official switch off date is April 15th so if anyone wants to play some Halo 2 online, now is the time to do so. Really sad too because as some Kotaku comments pointed out, while not every title in the Dreamcast library can still be played online, some can and that console was dead years ago and never had near the audience. Even Socom to this day on the PlayStation 2 still continues to operate and Sony has never announced any intentions to turn off the servers.

its kinda sad that they'll just kill off that many products
I guess they just want more people to but newer stuff so they can make even more money
