Sony Cleared in OtherOS Lawsuit

While it's nowhere near the end for Sony, in Australia at least, Sony is in the clear for the removal of the OtherOS function as the claim as been rejected by the courts there.

So with that being said, does anyone think this will be a precedent or a prediction for the upcoming cases in U.S. I mean I think Sony will end up winning just because of the EULA agreement you accept on the firmware but let's here what some of our other members have to say.

EDIT: Boy I'm stupid, once again, I missed the fact this was already a news article earlier this morning.

Lol don't worry about it. Although Sony won in Australia, for some reason I have a feeling that it won't go the same way in the US.

My box is buried somewhere so i cant check. Does it list "other OS" as a feature on the box? Cus I know for a fact Sony never advertised it, therefore giving them a right to remove it.

This is almost as bad as Microsoft getting sued over what they did with MS Word.
