dude yeah i could of used it a a ornament but u know i always wanted to see the insides and i always wanted to smash it right now when i was playing a game and a disk error came up even when the disk was new!

Dude, just clean the dust off the lense! I did, I got to see the inside and my ps2 plays games like it was new.

ouch. maybe the ps2 cracked under the pressure of knowing that if it didn't perform, it'd get killed. Mine's still going, I couldnt' bring myself to destroy a piece of hardware.

Mines fine aswell, i actually cleaned it for the first time, loads of dust came out!

i didn't take it apart though. even though the warranty has gone, the sticker is in tact, and in a couple years, it will be valueble!

Just make your own sticker. lol noone will be able to tell the difference
