Staggering Portal Graphical Disparity

The good folks over at lens of truth has done what they do best in stoking the fan boy flames in the platform wars.

If you're unfamiliar the LOT guys place multiplatform titles against eachother regularly, going over them with the finest tooth combs they can get their hands on.

As both the 360 and PS3 wear into their life cycles the differences become smaller and smaller. BUT HOLY SH*T the differences between Portal 2 on the
360 and Portal 2 on the PS3 are GINORMOUS.

OMG the Xbox 360 version looks terrible, so many aliasing issues! A lot of people won't be happy about this.

Just another nail in the coffin for the 360 version, I mean the PS3 version has Steam support, a free PC copy and more so unless all you own is a 360, you have almost zero reason to pick up a 360 copy.

I just played it on PC, been playing it on PS3 all weekend, the PC has way better lighting among many other things. I know its expected, but thought id just let you guys know.

You get both copies anyways.

I created a steam account just for this game, so that when i buy it, i can play the game straight away. Plus i bought the humble indie bundle too.

Ive had a Steam account, it took a good couple hours to download the game. I already beat the single player on PS3 haha...

Im having issues with it syncing though. Steam isn't finding the saves anymore...Ill have to try again in a bit.

However when comparing the two. The lighting was the only noticable differnce I saw. I dont have a super high end computer so there might be more to it, but nothing on my computer.

I dont know, for it to look that different between copies I have to think valve made a conscious effort to beat the 360 copy with the ugly stick

Especially when the 360 has automatic support for anti-aliasing, without taking a CPU hit. That's why it's so shocking that it looks so bad.
