will wii die....

Wii is on the rage now, alot of people havee this hot item you can rarly find it these days, but as most of you heard experts say that it's hype will die along with the wii, and the true winner will come then but, who knows my thought is that wii is going not have this hype all the time but it won't die........what do yall think, sorr.. about the country talk

Well, the Wii's sale are at a HUGE high, compared to 360 and ps3, they're a runaway success. To be honest, with Microsoft's unreliability (red ring of death) and the Sony's chokingly high price with few games. They're practically giving this one to Nintendo.

I dont see the wii lasting a long time the only reason sales are big is becouse it was a new style of gameplay people will eventually get bored of it

Take a look at this then tell me that the Wii won't do so well in the long run.

I'm not a fanboy, I'm a realist, look at those sales! Wii has sold 8,170,960 PS3 has just sold 3,424,274. What does that tell you? Bear in mind that this is in the same time frame. PS3 sales are pretty much in line with the 360's.

I haven't played mine in four weeks, and the battery life in the controllers annoys me to a rediculous extent.

PS2, SNES, DS (with my brother ATM), DS lite, N64, Game cube, GBA, GBAsp.

The Wii points system is annoying, for buying VC games, I wish you could just use plain old money.

but, who would want to keep using a credit card??
i don't have any old game systems now got rid of them, got annoying just use emulators if i want to play...

I think the wii is going to not sell as well in the near future. Just because of the gamers preference of higher quality games. I mean it sure is cheaper then the other systems but for that reason you don't get as much "bang for your buck". I like the wii but i just don't think it can keep up with the power of the PS3 and 360. =/

I agree with the quality of games thing, but I dont think the Wii is going anywhere anytime soon. The console has too many casual gamers and casual gamers dont mind the cheap quality games as much as hardcore gamers.

Well that may be true, but the prices for other systems are dropping even lower. I mean the 360 has a model out right now thats $199. Thats pretty cheap. I'm not saying that the wii is bad. It just doesnt come to par with the other systems. Like if you think about it. The Wii soldout first time it hit the shelves because it was cheaper then the others, which if u think about it really isn't because in order to have a "moderate" (this is disputable) Wii system you would need to purchase the battery chargers for the Wii-mote and the Nunchuck has to be purchased seperately. Which comes to be pretty pricey. The uniqueness is its only edge. Since the Wii uses a sensor bar and a motion sensor system, it gives it the "difference" compared to the ps3 and 360. So you could argue that for that reason the wii wont die soon, but this is just my opinion on it.

Ninetendo is too smart to just let their wii die and i mean look at it. it outsells both rival systems and its been doin it for a long time.

While the Wii isn't as pricey as the 360, the 360 is a lot more intimidating to non gamers and even to some casual gamers. People that haven't played video games in 20, 30, 40, or ever are interested in the Wii because it's simple and fun. Just last week I was in Wal-Mart and an older couple (early 70's or so) were purchasing a Wii for them selfs. My point is, more people are interested in the Wii because it's simple. the PS3 and 360 aren't always simple.

and that it appeals to more casual gamers. people who didn't like video games before picked this up and fell in love with it. what nintendo did for the gaming market is unbelievable. they assured the gaming industry dominance over hollywood

no the wii didn't assure the gaming industry dominance over hollywood cause no one sits around and says oh boy i cant wait for that Wii game to come out no that is ps3 and xbox that is taking away from the hollywood market if your a casual gamer youll watch a movie before you play a game
