Playing music on PS3

I am having sound issues when I play mp3's on my PS3. The base seems so distorted and it is hard to hear. I tried to change the sound settings in PS3 but if I do that sometimes then there is no sound for my games and then I have to reset it back. Can anyone please help?

Thanks

um, make sure the ps3 is set up with the proper output (cord) for the sound and just try going to sound settings and upping the quality. if not, it aint the ps3.

i had the same problem! you just have to fix the component cables. make sure they are tight. put it in differnet ones and test the sound.
