Anyone pick up the iPad?
So, as well all know, the iPad came out the other day. According to a financial analyst, the device sold more than 600K units in it's opener. Anyone from PS3Center one of those 600K?

"My 3GS looks like the sensor in the dock has triggered. The headphone sensor looks normal. It has never been exposed to water. However, I have left it on the bathroom counter top while taking a shower while waiting for a call. I guess if I buy the new phone I will need to put it in a baggie."
It's one thing to make a 3rd party MP3/MP4 player and have it look sort of similar to an iPod, but to rip-off the interface and go as far as putting the Apple logo on it... now that's just low.

I'm not too sure what to think about the iPad, it seems like just another way for them to make money and not something that I can actually see myself using

I ordered mine yesterday. I'm really excited, even though I've heard it's not as great as everybody thinks. But it probably depends on the personal preferences.

Oh there are, the iPad is only designed to operate within a temperature range of 32F to 95F (or 0C to 32C) and since many southern US states are easily over that in temperature during the summer months, even Ontario can go over that range in the prime of summer, the iPad is useless outside in any of theses areas. The only saving grace is it will save itself, says it's too hot and shut itself off.
Personally I know two people who own them and I've played with them a bit and I just don't see the point in that device. For less than an iPad costs I could have a netbook that does much more, has near identical battery life and is almost as portable. I think I would take that over a touchscreen any day.
