Ever got 4 Rings of Death?

The other day, my Xbox had 3 Rings of Death, I actually didn't know what was going on, but my buddy told me about it. I unplugged it, and turned it back on, and everything was fine. I'm glad nothing went wrong with it. I must've been playing a good four hours, then we took a little j break and when I came back, I opened my screen and the rings started flashing, I guess it was overheating. Hasn't happened again since, I try to not let the Xbox on so long anynore. I saw this cooling system for about 20 $, anyone ever tried it?

Ever had any Rings of Death?

all that the cooling systems do is pull the air outa your system at a constant speed it actually produces more wear and tear on your system fans so i just suggest a floor fan blowing on your 360.

or get in a room with lots of ventalation like an open window but good to hear its

I think that a lot of the cooling systems actually do a lot more bad than good to consoles. Like Reno, said just use a normal floor fan or something, and have it in a nice open space. Also make sure it doesn't get too dusty either.

I've gotten that freaking Red Ring of Death dozens of times. i'm on my fourth console now. I didn't send in this last console for like 9 months. I wanted to wait till the end of my three year warranty hoping that M$ would have most of the problems fixed. I guess i'll find out.

I keep a floor fan on it whenever I'm playing it to help keep it cool. seems to help some but will it extend the life of the console? i'm not too sure

all four rings on... I can't remember what error code that is, but as for the three rings... yeah returning it now will net you a falcon at least and maybe they'll replace it with a jasper... probably not, but you never know. The main problem with the red rings of death is a soldering issue... or you can mod your system with a liquid cooling device... ^_^

The 4 red lights means that the xbox doesn't detect that there is an AV connection.

Oh, yeah, my newest Xbox 360 died on me. So now i have (well my gf has it actually) a broken 360 that's out of warranty. -_- oh well i guess. i'll get a new one sometime
