According to Insomniac Games, they are apparently very hard at work on bringing some new content to the PlayStation Network on the PS3 very soon, and have also stated that Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction was only possible because of the unique powers of the PS3.

The team has just finished releasing Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, which PCN will be reviewing next week. They have not even had time to rest for one week and they have already announced that new content is on the way to please PS3 gamers further.

They also stated very clearly in a recent interview that the demands of Ratchet & Clank on the PS3 would not have been possible on any other system, that includes the Xbox 360.

It is clear that the game demands quite a bit from the next-gen PS3 console in terms of visuals, and space required on the Blu-Ray disc. Insomniac has confirmed though that without the Blu-Ray drive, and without the power under the hood of the PS3, the game simply could not have been done on any other console.
