It was reported yesterday that a reliable source was spreading news that BioShock would be heading to the PS3 in Spring 2008. It has turned out to be a rumor which 2K Games has squashed.

A moderator over at the Official 2K Games forum over at 2KGames.com has come out and stated that there will be no PS3 version of BioShock.

He was very straight forward with the way he addressed the situation.

The post on the forums stated ’Please don’t tell me you made an account just for this question ... There will be no PS3 version of BioShock. It has been explained time and time again."

This was definitely a straight-shooting answer and one which does not even leave the slighest crack open that the game could be heading to the PS3 next year. Write off the BioShock on PS3 news as merely a rumor which has now been killed.
