Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction may be the biggest game on the PS3 in North America, but has performed poorly at retail in Japan.

The game was not received very well by the Japanese gamers as many skipped out on the game.

Ratchet & Clank only managed to sell 11,814 copies in its first week on sale in Japan on the PS3. This is disappointing as many critics and gamers who have played it, including us right here at PCN, stated that it is one of the best PS3 games and next-gen gaming experiences to date.

The game which beat out Ratchet & Clank on the PS3 was Dynasty Warriors 6 which took a lot of attention away from the big first party Sony release by developer Insomniac Games.

Dynasty Warriors 6 sold 181,926 copies in its first week. The Xbox 360 version of Dynasty Warriors 6 also sold well with 28,924 copies.

The 40GB PS3 continues to perform very well in Japan at retail.
