Konami has released official news in regards to the new patches for PES 2008 which were released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, detailing exactly what the new patches do to the game.

The new patches address the online lag as well as the slowdown which impacts the game greatly on the PS3 and Xbox 360 whether you are playing in a single-player or online game.

In regards to the PS3 version, the update patch fixes all of the problems which revolved around the game not being able to download properly to the hard drive of the next-gen Sony system.

Konami stated that they are not done yet either as they are continuing to work on improvements for PES 2008 as another big patch is likely coming to further improve things.

"Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released updates to rectify issues with the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION®3 versions of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.

The free download addresses the online lag and the slowdown that affects the game in both online and offline modes.

The PLAYSTATION®3 update also fixes problems associated with downloading the game to the console’s hard drive.

Konami will continue to look into ways to extend users’ enjoyment of PES 2008 and is still working on improvements."
