The Associated Press has come out and given the award for their video game of the year to the Xbox 360 and PC hit, Bioshock.

They also released many other award announcements which range from a variety of genres. They stated that BioShock wins best game due to it being a "thinking person’s action game." They stated that it is "a piece of electronic fiction with a soul." One interesting thing to note is that they labeled it as a PS3 game as well, which to this point, it is not.

The other awards included Best Deal which went to The Orange Box from Valve. Best game that involves you getting off of the couch went to none other than Rock Band.

The worst trend went to the video game holiday bombardment of millions of new games.

Most tiring controversy went to Manhunt 2.

Best trend was first-person-shooters.

Most overrated game was Halo 3.

Best idea gone terribly wrong was Lair.

And finally, most frustrating delays went to GTA IV and MGS 4.
