According to the latest set of rumors from EGM, they are stating that God of War 3 will hit the Sony PS3 during the holiday season next year, in 2008. They also noted that Gears of War 2 will hit during the same period.
The rumors have been flying about both Gears of War 2 and God of War 3 as they are easily a few of the most highly anticipated next-gen games. Releasing both of them during the same holiday season would set up an incredible bout at retail for sales.
There is no secret at this point that the Sony PSP is getting God of War: Chains of Olympus very shortly, but there has yet to be any news about a God of War 3 for the PS3.
The rumor states that God of War 3 is already long into development by SCEA’s Santa Monica team and that they are getting the game ready for release in holiday 2008.
