We all know that Gran Turismo is highly respected among the auto industry but no one had any idea that it was this respected. The game software is often used in car dealership location to give a simulated test drive of vehicles so consumers can get a feel for a car without actually driving it off of the lot.
The game and its creator have received even more positive credit now thanks to Motor Trend’s 2007 Power List.
The list has been released and includes a new face which hasn’t been listed on it before. The creator of Gran Turismo Kazunori Yamauchi has made the Motor Trend’s 2007 Power List. This is a great honor considering that the list focuses on showing who makes a significant impact on the automotive world. This translates to showing that Gran Turismo really does have a huge impact on the auto industry and consumer’s views on cars and such.
This is an amazing feat considering it if not a car maker, but a game developer who is on the list. Kazunori Yamauchi secured a spot at #29 on the Power List ahead of such people as the CEOs of Honda and Ferrari.
This is a great feat and the gaming industry should surely congratulate Kazunori Yamauchi since it brings the Gran Turismo series and gaming in general even into a more mainstream limelight than it already is as well as a respected art form around the world. |
