Some new details have emerged about the release date of God of War III, scheduled as an exclusive game for the Sony PS3 console.

According to GameStop and EB Games, the game will release in March 2009.

The retailers state that the game will feature support of 1080p, as well as SIXAXIS and rumble functionality.

GameStop and EB Games have already started to take pre-orders on the game, with the list price set at the expected $59.99 price tag.

This kills off rumors that Sony was hoping to release the game prior to Christmas.
