It is becoming apparent that not all of the games for the next-generation Sony PlayStation 3 console will use its high-definition capabilities to the fullest as it appears that Motorstorm will not run in 1080p.
Sony Computer Entertainment America Marketing VP Peter Dille spoke at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas stating that the release of Motorstorm on the PlayStation 3 would indeed run at 60 frames per second and at a resolution of 1080p.
This though is apparently very far from the truth.
Sony has admitted since then that the public relations in this matter have been allowed to talk freely about the game even though they do not know all of the facts about the game in which they are hyping.
Motorstorm will run on the PlayStation 3 at a resolution of 720p and a frame rate of 30 frames per second.
Sony spoke to 1UP recently and stated that the representative for the company "accidentally got caught up in the greater context of his point which is that we currently do have content that does run at 1080p and 60fps for PS3."
Sony may have many games up its sleeve that run in 1080p but for the young next-generation console that was supposed to have all games in full and true HD, this news is a bit troubling to say the least.
