Tired of the spontaneous trophy supported games? Well this may all be changing soon as a new Sony rumor is starting to float around the web requiring all PS3 games to include trophy support. The questions still remain, is it a good idea and are the sources true to the word?

According to videogamer.com, Sony has contacted them and confirmed that as of January 2009 all newly released PS3 titles will be required to include trophy support. Quoting Sony, “Yes from Jan 09 all games must have trophies."

If true this confirms that Killzone 2 will have trophy support along with every title we buy next year. Surely to keep all PS3 fans happy and provide a sense of relief for those tired of playing games twice due to trophy updates being released after game purchases.
