There were rumors going around today that the Home beta invites being sent out today were delayed until Monday due to email issues. People in North America had another problem as Sony didn't happen to mention if the beta was only for the EU region. Well things have changed and invites are going out as you read this.
Sony stated that over 100 thousand lucky people will be added to the beta today with another huge batch getting into the beta next week. I'm glad to announce that NA is indeed included as I and several others have received the email. The Beta is running at 73MB but reserves well over 3GB for later downloads with the servers now running.
It is nice to note that a server event will be going on today at 6pm for everyone to participate in and meet other members in the beta. The same deal next week when batch number 2 hits. A good way to get with others and celebrate finally having PlayStation Home in your very own hands.
This is very good news for all fans as this is the biggest number ever invited into Home, thats 100 thousand on top of the thousands already in HOME. This is called V 1.0 and is the last private beta release before the open beta hitting in the "upcoming weeks." V 1.0 also includes all the latest updates like clubs and a new navigation area.
For those of you that just don't have the luck to get in, don't worry, PS3Center will keep you updated with everything we are aloud to. |
